1974 2.7S Bare metal Repaint

This car is an ex californian car and whilst generally in superb condition rust and set into the doors and front wings and the paint was tired overall.

Before - they always look great in photos!

Strip down begins

Revealing some accident damage

And a few small areas of rust

Off with the paint, all stripped by hand.

To reveal a really nice shell with no rust in the normal areas.

Bumpers and valances Soda Blasted.

Damaged areas of sill cut out and repaired

Shell into Primer

And shell rubbed down.

Panels primed waiting to be rubbed down

Small area of rust on the inner wing is cut out

Repair and vunerable areas of inner wing coated with epoxy mastic

New front wings are trial fitted

Old rusty Seal retaining strip on front panel is removed and the panel cleaned up and primed

New retainer is bonded on to ensure rust cannot penetrate in the future

New wings have the underside and vunerable edges coated in anti stone chip material

And ready for colour

Fresh out of the Oven!

New Headlining in place

Followed by new carpets

New door seals and sill trims

Almost there

Euro spec headlights and indicators replace US items

Euro rear lights and overiders also

Not to forget the door liner and all important black paint around the door edges.

Back on it's original wheels
